Make your first trade with OKX
Seven steps. Try an order in demo mode first, then trade live.

These points affect your money. Read them first.
Live trading uses real money. For your first time, try an order in demo mode in step 6.
- Trades use the funds in your OKX account. Keep only the amount you plan to trade there.
- By default the platform caps each order at $500 (the trade risk settings page shows the actual value). You get a notification before each order, but there is no per-order confirmation: orders that pass the checks execute immediately. You can lower the cap in step 5.
- Your OKX credentials are stored encrypted on the platform. The Agent cannot access them, and it cannot withdraw or transfer funds.
- The Agent does not place orders unless you ask. If you have it create a standing task, or install a strategy-type skill, it keeps placing orders by those rules until you tell it to stop. Check what a skill does before installing it.
- Live trades appear on the public leaderboard by default. This cannot be turned off yet.
- Only OKX spot trading is supported, including tokenized US stocks. Leverage and contracts are not supported.
